 OpenXP notes the date of the newest message in
 each newsgroup, and whether unread messages are
 present. Normally this data is kept up to date
 automatically. This function forces an update.
 
 If you eliminate all the messages in a newsgroup with
 "K" the newsgroup will remain marked as containing
 unread messages until the next netcall. Forcing an
 update will correct this, if it disturbs you.
