Edit / Templates

 Under this entry, the various message templates can   
 be written and edited. These templates form the basis 
 of messages, by entering a certain framework of text  
 of your choice which is always the same for each      
 message, like the date, your introductory text, your  
 signature at the end and so on. There are some        
 default templates, but you can write as many as you   
 wish and allocate them to different types of message, 
 based on newsgroup groups.                            
                                                       
 Variables like the date, the name of the person being 
 replied to and so on can be entered by using macros   
 which are replaced with the appropriate entry by      
 OpenXP for each message.                              
                                                       
 Note that signatures cannot contain macros (there is  
 no real necessity) and if they do, the whole macro    
 will be ignored.
